AIA Colorado South September Eat+Educate

Join AIA Colorado South on Wednesday, Sept. 10, from noon - 1 p.m., for Critical Architectural Details to Prevent Water Intrusion, an Eat+Educate presented by SBSA. The program will be held at the Penrose Library Adult Room (20 N. Cascade Ave., Colorado Springs, CO 80903). Please note the change from the Carnegie Reading Room to the Adult Room.

Attendees can earn 1.0 AIA HSW continuing education Learning Unit (LU). Under the state of Colorado's rules for continuing education for state licensure renewal, this program should meet the requirements for 1.0 HSW CEH.

This presentation discusses examples of critical building envelope details that were not designed or constructed properly which resulted in extensive damage. Strategies to identify and properly detail constructible designs to prevent water intrusion while maintaining the architect’s aesthetic intentions will be emphasized.

This program is free for all AIA Colorado South members and lunch will be provided by SBSA.
